Booking & payment

No. You can reserve a place with no card and no upfront payment. We confirm your spot by email, and the payment schedule starts 15 days after that confirmation. Enquiring costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Payment is split into equal monthly instalments. The first falls 15 days after your reservation is confirmed; the final instalment is due two months before the program starts.

The number of instalments depends on how far in advance you book. For example, if you reserve on 17 June 2026 for a program starting 28 November 2026, you'll have approximately 3 monthly instalments.

Payments are made by bank transfer or another method agreed in writing. Full details are in your reservation confirmation email.

  • 2 or 3 people booking together: 10% off per person
  • 4 people: 20% off per person
  • 5 or more: handled as a private booking — see private groups

The person making the reservation is responsible for payments for the whole party.

All payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, you may transfer your place to a future Elis Collective program of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. Transfer requests must be made in writing at least 60 days before the program start date.

We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance that covers trip cancellation — this is your responsibility and is not included in the program fee.

If we cancel a program entirely, all payments received will be refunded in full within 14 days, or you may elect to transfer to a future program. We communicate any material changes to confirmed guests as soon as possible.

Accommodation & logistics

All rooms are twin — two beds, air conditioning, and a few steps from the sea (or the shala, depending on location). The twin format keeps costs fair for everyone. Room images on the program pages are representative; specific allocation is made before arrival.

Sole occupancy is not included in the standard price. If you need a room to yourself, write to us before reserving and we'll check availability and pricing.

Flights are not included. Local transfers once you arrive at the destination — from the pier or a designated meeting point — are included. Airport-to-pier or airport-to-hotel transfers are not included.

We'll send you clear arrival instructions once your place is confirmed.

All meals provided are freshly prepared and vegan. Two meals per day are included — breakfast and dinner. Lunch is not included. If you have specific allergies or dietary requirements beyond a vegan diet, let us know before confirming your place so we can assess what's possible.

Visa and entry requirements are your responsibility to check and arrange for whichever country the program is based in. Requirements vary significantly by nationality. We recommend checking with the relevant embassy or a visa service well in advance.

Programs & practice

Our retreat programs are open to all levels, including beginners. The daily schedule is structured but adaptable — teachers work with the group and with individuals. Teacher training programs require a regular yoga practice; specific requirements are listed on each program page.

Open programs are capped at 12 people. This is deliberate — small enough that the teacher reaches everyone, everyone knows each other, and nothing gets lost in the crowd. Private group programs can be sized to your party.

Early, structured mornings and open afternoons. A rough outline:

  • 06:30 — Wake & herbal tea (no phone)
  • 07:00 — Pranayama & meditation
  • 08:00 — Morning asana in the shala
  • 09:30 — Breakfast
  • 11:00 — Workshop or session
  • 13:00 — Open afternoon (swim, rest, massage)
  • 16:30 — Silent walk or activity
  • 18:00 — Yin & restorative practice
  • 19:30 — Dinner

The schedule may shift slightly with the weather and the group. One day mid-retreat is kept lighter for a longer excursion.

Phone-free mornings are part of every program. We ask that phones are put away from wake-up until after breakfast — roughly 06:30 to 10:00. This is the core of how the programs work and applies to everyone. Outside those hours, you're free to use your phone as you like.

Elis Collective runs programs in multiple locations worldwide — currently Thailand (Koh Phangan, Koh Samui), Greece (Santorini), Spain, and Bali. Each program page lists the specific location and setting. We work with characterful venues — beachfront shalas, jungle retreats, clifftop spaces overlooking the sea.

  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for practice
  • A light layer for early morning sessions (it can be cool at dawn)
  • Swimwear
  • Sturdy sandals or shoes for walking
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Any personal medication
  • Travel and medical insurance documents

Mats, props and equipment are provided. You don't need to bring your own.

Yes — we strongly recommend it, and it's a condition of participation. Your insurance should cover trip cancellation, medical treatment, and repatriation. This is your responsibility to arrange; it is not included in the program fee.
